Teach For India is organizing its first National Innovation Summit in collaboration with NSRCEL, which is taking place from March 21st – March 24th at IIM-Bangalore. This 4-day event marks the culmination of the inaugural cycle of Teach For India’s #InnovatED incubation programme. We understand that the first few years of social entrepreneurship can be hard– be it fundraising, operations or hiring talent. To support our education entrepreneurs through this important phase of their journey, NSRCEL in collaboration with Teach For India launched an entrepreneurship program that aims to equip an entrepreneur.

From PhD to diplomas, 21 to 55 years, swanky USA accent to pitching in Telugu, humble background to HNI families, home makers to scientists, millet food to machine learning, from all over 2 states. The key component of the narrative at ‘The Craft Catapult’ Delhi Roundtable Meet yesterday led by Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship‘s Startup Oasis where the dialogue panned ground realities, situations, and concerns over the product- market fit, need for appropriate and timely design intervention, effectively countering competition, particularly from the factory made, artisan and stakeholder incomes, long gestation periods and resultant irregular cash flows, craftspeople motivation and orientations, use of technology to maximize process efficiency, ‘one of a kind’ vs ‘volume’ production
There was plenty of cross-learning and education geared towards evolving an ecosystem for creating, incubating, nurturing and accelerating, ethical, eco-friendly, value-oriented businesses by startups working in the craft environment.
