Either they can buy that water for various purposes or BOSON will sell it to industries that require high quality water. By this apartments can adhere to New BBMP guidelines of no STP discharge and we can put the 200 cr water that goes to drain to good use.

Bengaluru-based BOSON Whitewater raises investment worth INR 3.45 crore from IAN to offer WAAS (Water as a Service)
- BOSON will be introducing its advanced 11 Stage water recovery system (patent pending) to produce potable quality water.

Bangalore, February 2022: BOSON Whitewater, a sustainable water management startup has raised INR 3.45 crore in a funding round led by IAN (Indian Angel Network). The round was led by veteran lead angel Nagaraja Prakasam, who also will join the board. The Bengaluru-based company aims to utilize the freshly infused investment to grow its team, grow its water delivery infrastructure and expand operations across Bengaluru to recycle 500 Cr litres/year. The funding will also contribute towards launching an awareness and marketing campaign, so every citizen can reuse and recycle water to make NEWater of Singapore possible in Bengaluru.
Founded in 2011 by Vikas Brahmavar and Gowthaman Desingh, the company makes water softeners, industrial water treatment systems and recently Water Recovery Boson Whitewater system with the vision to emerge as the 3rd source of water after Municipal Water (Rain, River, etc..) and Groundwater (Borewells). It aims to become a water utility company supplying the highest quality water recovered from wastewater. BOSON WhiteWater System is working with IT parks, malls, industries and apartment complexes to recover potable water from their STP treated water.

Indian Angel, Nagaraja Prakasam invest in water management firm BOSON Whitewater
Sustainable water management startup BOSON Whitewater on Thursday said it has racked up funding of Rs 3.45 crore (around $457000) from Indian Angel Network and angel investor Nagaraja Prakasam.
The Bengaluru-based platform plans to use the funds to ramp up its network across the state, expand team and setting up of a water delivery infrastructure.

The firm, operated by Transwater System Pvt Ltd, claims to work with IT parks, malls, industries and apartment complexes to recover potable water from their sewage treatment plant (STP) treated water.
“At BOSON Whitewater, we focus on recovering potable quality water from wastewater and we believe it will reduce groundwater exploitation. The firm will be the third source of water and would be the most dependable source of the highest quality water. If it is utilised across Bengaluru, the dependency on Cauvery Phase 5 drastically reduces and any water saved water is directly available to farmers in the river belt thereby lowering the cost of pumping water to the city,” said Brahmavar.
