Hill Garden, Taking Manipur Hills hidden treasures to the world
An IIMB graduate (PGP 2016-2018) started Hill Garden as student run venture – didn’t take placement went back to help his people.
Identified 23+ wild produce that people outside Manipur hardly knew about. Around 30% consumed during season in Manipur rest won’t even be collected, so wasted as there is no market.
Found a cold storage partner (Mao Gate) preserved over 25 tons of it. Researched over a year with ICAR institutes and found an Agri technology to make products now marketing across the world!
Motivated two of his brothers, sister to join in this agri venture! L Michael Khoveio a Veterinary Doctor, L Mevei, IIMC grad and sister L. Leshina – all working on this!
Identify hill’s hidden treasures-collect-preserve-value add with tech-market to world. Need more Elijahs for North East!
